RUGBY FOOTBALL.

TO-MORROW’S FIXTURES.' j The local cup fixtures will be continued to-morrow when an extensive range of matches in all grades will be offered the public at the showgrounds. The competitions are at a most interesting stage, particularly in the senior division, each of the teams, with one exception, having placed a win to its credit. The standard of Rugby so far revealed has been highly creditable and there is every promise of still better things as the season advances. Following on, their runaway victory against Feilding last Saturday, Old Boys will, no doubt, prove a formidable proposition for Kia Toa to-morrow. Last season’s premiers, who are at .present in the unenviable position of occupying the bottom position on the championship table, t,re confident of success and tho struggle between these two clubs should provido a sparkling display of Rugby. Figuring in a list of excellent attractions in the lower grades is the High SchoolFeilding junior match and tne LintonWestern United fixture in the same grade, while as curtain-raiser to tho senior contest will be the match between, the two local secondary schools, High School and Technical. These two teania are at present equal in championship points and the fight for leadership should provide many of the brightest features of the code. The union again extends a hearty invitation to thj» ladies to attend, while the attention of supporters is directed to tho fact that season tickets ore now being, issued entitling the holder and lady friend to admittance to all club and representative matches controlled by tho union. The price of the passes is £1 Is and may be obtainable on application to the secretary.
