THEOSOPHY.
Speakinff in . the Theosophical Hall last evening .Miss Oppenheimer pointed out how through the Theosophical Society’s proclamation of tho ancient truth of the law of rebirth u light had been shed on many of ths problems of life. She dealt specially wiih the light thrown on history, the rise of all nations, and civilisation of the past an 1 their bearing on the present. In the light' of that law of rebirth, souls who were incarnated in past civilisations were brought back to birth to help at various times, many of the ancient Greek poets and philosophers coming to aid a renaissance such as we find in Elizabethan times. There is a good deal to be learned in the light of this law, and a greater understanding arrived at thut thero is a Divine plan carried “mightily and sweetly ordereth all things,” and the truth that ail men have an opportunity to make good their evil hihiis, and the law be fulfilled that “all Gel’s sons shall one day reach his feet, liowe’ur fur they stray,” and become perfect as the Father in Heaven is perfect. —“
