RECENT MINING DISASTER.
REQUEST FOR INQUIRY.
Received September 8 11.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 8. Tho Cossnook Council has requested the Government to inquire into the question of whether any lives might have been saved in the recent disaster it rescue stations had been provided. It has also recommended the Government to devise some eoheme for preventing or minimising accidents in future.—Press Association.
