REPARATIONS DEADLOCK.
BELGIAN SOLDIERS PROTEST. AGAINST PLOT TO DISUNITE ALLIES. By Eleotrio Telegraph.-Copyright. BRUSSELS, Sept 6. The Interallied Federation of Demobihsod Soldierß protested against the campaign tending to disunite Britain. France and Belgium. They expressed the hope that the throe countries would compel Germany to pay reparation* in the interests of the war victims and the unemployed.~A. ana N.Z. cable. INTERVENTION SUGGESTED. WASHINGTON, Sept. 8. American intervention to break the dead* lock between Franco and Germany on the reparations question was advocated by Mr Fred Uphara, treasurer of the Republican National Committee, on his return from Europe. H 9 says Congress should appoint a commission of business men to determine quiokly what Germany can pay.—A. and N.Z. cable.
