The funeral of the lale Mrs Peter Bheradin took place last Tuesday, when her mortal remains were laid to rest in the

An old ancT highly-respected resident of the Manawatu district in the person of Mrs Thora Hansen passed a\vay at her late residence, Rangitikei line, yesterday. The deceased lady, who was relict of the late Mr Gulbrand Hansen, was 75 years of age. Born in N way she came to New Zealand 52 years ago, being one of the early pioneer settlers. She leaves a family of eight, three sons and five daughters, to mourn their loss. The funeral will take place at the Palmerston North cemetery to-morrow afternoon. The d . li occurred at tho -Palmerston North hospital on Thursday evening of Mr Clyde Sinolair, following a brief illness. A member of the firm of Sinclair Bros., the deceased was only 28 years of age.' He was educated at tho Campbell Street School and at the conclusion of his scholastic career entered, into business with his brother. During the war he served with J Battery, NIZ.E.F., in France. Though of a retiring disposition, he possessed a wide circle of friends, whose sympathy- will be extended the relatives in'their sad bereavement. There ere left to mourn their loss his mother, Mrs E. Green, two sisters in Miss S. E. Sinclair and Mrs Lyford, of Wellington, and oiie brother in Mr E. Sinclair, of Palmerston North. The deceased was a nephew . of Mr and Mrs Hamilton Sinclair, late *of Ferguson Street, with whom ho spent the greater part of his boyhood.
