COMMITTEE OF INVESTIGATION.
(Per Press Associttion.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 7, A party comprising the? following members of the Imperial Overseas Immigration Committee is due td arrive in Auckland by the Niagara on Monday: Sir William Windham, Mr J. Wignall, M.P., Major-General Wauchope; and Miss G. Pott. The delegation is coming ta New Zealand at the invitation of the Government, ana will tour the Dominion for the purpose of seeing what field the country offers for Imperial immigrants; and what class can be most readily absorbed. Mr H. D. Thompson/ Under-Secretary for the New Zealand Immigration Department, and Mr J. Hislop, UnderSecretary for Infernal Affairs, are leaving Wellington to-day for the purpose" of meeting the tisitirig delegates, who are coming straight to Wellington, arriving on Tuesday afternoon next. Here the delegates will meet Lord Jellicoe and members of the Government before undertaking their tour.
