Palmerston north borough coencil. SPECIAL ORDER AFTHORISING LOAN OF £OO,OOO. AT OTIC 10 IS HEREBY GIVEN IN THAT at a S]l Mooting ol the Palmerston Borough Council, hold on the 20th day ol Juno, 1922, a resolution was passed:— THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the psTTHa'iN vested in it hy Section 0 Snh-seoiion (I) of the Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921-22 and by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling (Orders in Council in pursuance of Section 20 of the Finance Act, 1919, and Section 11 of the Finance Act, 1921, having been obtained authorising the Council to borrow) the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: 1. THAT the Council proceed to raise a loan of thirty-two thousand pounds (£32,000) for the purpose- of repaying the Council’s ‘‘Antecedent Liability” as defined bv the Local Bodies Finance Act, 1921-22. 2. THAT such loan he called "The Palmerston North Borough Council .Antecedent Liability Loan of £32.DUG, 1922.” 3. THAT the currency of the said loan shall be for a period of ten (lU) years commencing on the first day of July, 1922, and maturing on the first day of July, 1932, 4. ’{'HAT the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of Six Pounds (£G) per centum per annum and be payable half-yearly on the Ist day of January and July in each and every year. u. THAT the form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be thirty-two (32) debentures on One ThoiNand Pounds (£1000) each and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions oi the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913. 6. THAT the Council dot!, hereby appropriate and pledge as security lor the repayment ol the said loan and the interest, sinking lend and other charges thereon the special rale of one hall-penny (id) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Palmerston North. 7. THAT the principal and interest shall be payable at the Bank ol New Zealand, Wellington. 8. THAT the cost ol raising the loan and the interest and sinking hind Lathe first year of the said loan he paid out of the loan. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY ALSO GIVEN that the said resolution will lie submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the office of the said Council, the Square, Palmerston North, on Monday, the 24th day of July, 1922, at 7.31) p.m.. for confirmation as a Special Older.
