THE DANISH SYSTEM. NO GOVERNMENT CONTROL. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 13. In response to enquiries at this end regarding Danish marketing methods, a cable has been received advising that the Danish system is not compulsory. Sales are frequent liolh below and above the official weekly quotation. All the butter is sold f.0.b,, and there is no Government control whatsoever over the prices, quantity or shipment. The quality, which is the sole basis for export, must reach a specified standard known as the Lur brand. The prices are never fixed in advance. The committee consists of three producers, three merchants, and an independent chairman. The butter is not sold under tiie factory brand.
