LABOUR CONFERENCE.
DISCUSSION OVER OBJECTIVE. Received June 9. 12.45 p.m. SYDNEY, June 9. The Labour Conference resumed the disI mission on the party’s objective. The ! chairman ruled that by the decision of the j Brisbane t onlerence the new objective automatically replaced the old objective throughout the Commonwealth until such time as it was varied, lie contended that the old objective contained everything the workers wanted, j The New South Wales delegates did their best at Brisbane to reject the now objective, feeling that to carry it was not to help the workers, but to provide a whip for their political enemies wherewith to Hog them. i Several proposals are before the confer- ' enco aiming at the Brisbane objective.— i Press Association.
