The Otaki Bowling Club intend to bold a tournament on Saturday. Faster Monday and Tuesday (3rd, sth and 6th April). 'The cricket match, played at Otaki on Wednesday* between tho local team and Manakau, proved a fiasco, only a limited number of Otakiitos taking part. 'The scores were in favour of the visitors.
Mr Erie Williams, who has been acting as first wireless operator on the Wahine for some time, arrived by that vessel at Port Chalmers yesterday. At a meeting of tho committee of the Horowhenua Horticultural and Industrial Society judges were appointed for tho forthcoming autumn show, to be held on March 17, subject to their consent being obtained.
