A MISSING PASSENGER.
i J «B PBEBB ABBUOIATION. DUNEDIN. April 10. Incidental reference was made during tho Mould inquiry to someone named Burns, who was supposed to have disappeared from tho Maori on the night of January 27th. Some light was thrown on the matter by a statement made to the Dunedin police on 29th January by Mr T. H. Jones, who reported he was a passenger on the Maori on January 27th, that another passenger named Jack Russell Burn asked him “what would happen if a fellow fell overboard,’’ that both then returned to their cabin, after which Bums went out again, and that was the last Jones saw of him The address of Burns’ parents ■was given as Hereford street, Christchurch.
