A plot has boon discovered in Berlin aiming at the overthrow of the Government and proclaiming a Soviet Republic throughout Germany. Madgeburg is the chosen centre for tho revolution. It is not yet known how far the Government can succeed in maintaining order. A congress of Bavarian Socialists at Nurnborg declared, by forty-two to eight votes, against Soviet rule. Apparently the Red regime is confined to the Southern provinces. BAVARIAN REVOLUTION. COMFLICATING PROBLEMS. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association Received April IC, 1145 a.m. PARIS, April 7. Considerable interest is taken in the revolution in Bavaria, especially as the Bavarians have notified tho withdrawal ol representatives from . Weimar and Berlin. It looks as if tho Entente may have two governments to deal with. CONTROL BY SOVIETS. Australian-Now Zealand Cable Association. Received April 10, 12.35 p.m. COPENHAGEN. April 8. Advices from Munich state that the Bavarian Soviet Republic has boon proclaimed. Tho Workers’ Councils that tho entire lalxniring population in Bavaria is solidly united and is assuming public power through tho Soviet Council. People’s commissaries replace former Ministers, and everything belongs to the community. All independent Socialisation is prohibited. STRIKE COLLAPSES. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association. Received April 10, 12.35 p.m. COPENHAGEN, April 7. Advices from Stuttgart state that the general strike of Spartacists collapsed. The loaders were arrested and tho Government controls tho situation. COMMUNISTS AT WURZBURG. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association Received April 10, 12.35 p.m. COPENHAGEN, April 8. Advices from Wurzburg state that the Communist troops have seized telephones, telegraphs, and newspaper offices. A general strike has begun, and all factories and shops, excepting food shops, are closed. Regensburg has declared for tho Soviet Republic.
