ANTI SHOUTING CONVICTION QUASHED.
(Per Press Association. 1 ) WANGANUI, Dec . | At the Supreme Court Judge Edwards upheld an appeal by George Swan, licensee of Chevannes' Hotel, who was convicied on a charge of permitting shouting, th* chief ground of the conviction being thatho failed to place notices in the bars. Tho Judge held that it was unnecessary to place notices in the bar provided licensee* ■ warned their employees and conformed strictly to the regulations, us Swan had done.'
