BOROUGH OF PALMERSTON NORTH. SPECIAL ORDER. (Under "The Local Bodies' Loans ' Act, 1908."' TOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that A * at a Special Meeting of tho Palmerston North Borough Council held on the 7th day of February, 1911, a Resolution was passed— That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a LOAN of SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS (£6,500), authorised to be raised by the Borough Council of the Borough of Palmerston North under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of raising the Dam at the head of the Waterworks at Tiritea to a height of fifty feet, to provide additional storage of water, the eaid Borough Council of the Borough of Palmerston North, hereby makes and levies a SPECIAL RATE of ONE-ELEVENTH OF A PENNY (1-lld) IN THE POUND STERLING upon the Rateable Value of all Rateable Property of the Borough of Palmerston North (on the basis of the Unimproved Value), comprising the district bounded towards the north-east by a straight line, being the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 389 and 420, and a straight line joining tho said north-eastern boundaries, 12,550 links towards the oast and southeast by the Manawatu River, 36,400 links, and Section No. .371,177 links, towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 371, 372, 373, and 374, 6250 links, and by Section No. 370, 3000 links, and by Section No. 350, and across a public road, 8200 links, and towards the northwest by a public road, being the north-western boundary of Section No. 558, 177 links, and by a public road, 27,300 links, and that such Special Rate shall be an Annual Recurring Rate during the currency of 6iich loan, and be PAYABLE HALF-YEARLY on the FIRST DAY of JUNE and tho FIRST DAY of DECEMBER IN EACH and EVERY YEAR during the currency of such loan, being for a period until the First Day of October, 1917, or until the loan is fully paid off. And notice is also hereby given that the said resolution will be submitted to an ordinary meeting of the said Palmerston North Borough Council to be held at the Borough Council Chambers, situate in the Square, Palmerston North, on Tuesday, the 7th day of March, 1911, at 7.30 p.m., for confirmation as a Special Order.
