MADAME HARRIS.

In another column Madame Harris announces that she has resumed tuition in the artistic training of singers at her studio in Main Street East. Madame Harris, who has had a remarkably .successful career, is a specialist in voice culture, and has-been very successful in the interpretation of operatic, oratoria, and ballad music; Her carusr on tho concert platform was quite a distinguished .one. At Homo she was a member of the London Literary and Artistic Society, and'was associated on tho concert'platform with such artists as Signor Palmiere, Signor Monari Rocca, Fraulein Marianne Eisslor, the Allitsens and other performers of note in England. Her concerts were given under the patronage of the Countess of Suffolk, Lady Maria Howard, Lady Harrington," Lady Cotterell, Lady Helen Stewart, and many other well-known personages. Madame Harris, after coming to New Zealand, was closely ■identified with the earlier life of Palmerston, being a performer in almost every concert of note a few years back. The fjr.st concert in this town was given by her, and she has had the satisfaction of seeing many of her pupils take prominent positions in musical circles. Madame Harris is well equipped for the-import-ant work of guiding musical talent along correct and scientific lines, and should receive liberal patronage in her profession.
