BOWLING.

An exciting, bowling match took place on the Palmerston green yestorday between C. Pickering's and F, J. Tasljor's rinks. The latter was four down' on the last head, and with his first ball drove the jack and lay six. • Pickering's last shot drew fourth, while Tasker's delivery drew five, and won tho game by 20-19. In the junior pairs last evening F. Hankins (sub. for L, R. Bryant) and, Jolly beat B. Smith and Tavend'ale by 22 to 7. In the handicap singles H. Nash (scr.) beat Hopwood (4) by 21 to 9.
