NAPIER RACES. Per Press Association. NAPIER, March 17. The Napier Park Racing Club's Carnival Meeting was commenced to-day in splendid weather. The attendance was u* record for the club, and the racing was good. The .sum of £7626 was invested on the totalisator, an increase of £207 over the lirst day last year, in addition to which 16 bookmakers were licensed. Results: — Omaianui Hack Handicap Hurdle Race. II miles.—Tekaimii, 9-9, 1; Reservoir, 11.0, 2; Commander, 9.8. 3. Bushranger also ran. Won by half a length, a neck between second and third. Time, 3min 19 4-ssec. Esk Hack Handicap, 5 furlongs.—lSorth Head, 8.7, 1; Ikon, 7.13, 2; Wondcrbohin, 6.13, 3. Also ran: Sandstrcam, Maiora, Spark. Won easily. Time, lmin 1 4-ssec.
