He visits New Zealand. It is understood litigation has been commenced against the Society on behalf of those opposing the extension of operations abroad on the grounds that the extension is ultra vires and that the method adopted in obtaining the vote to amend the bye-laws was invalid. Father Hays has concluded his temperance crusade in Australia. He claimed that over 51,000 had taken the pledge during the campaign.
