Harry Carr. while attempting to board it, slipped and fell on the line. Two carriages and the guard's van passed over hU body The train was immediately pulled up, and 'medical assistance was obtained, but death must have been instantaneous, as the' body was badly mangled. The deceased was about 55 years of age. He had a son in business in Hastings.
