It is announced -to-day that the thoroughbred sire, The Artist, will be at the service of breeders in the Manawatu this season, and will be at Woodfield's stables every Wednesday afternoon and Thursday-morning. The Artist is well-known on this Coast as a successful performer on the turf. He comes from a good strain, being by Somnus.-' Thus it will be seen that breeders of thoroughbred stock are fortunate in having the services of such a sire at their, disposal. Full particulars -may be obtained from the groom in charge.
