Ammunition Supply Bill
The Ammunition Supply Bill, intro. duoed by Governor's message, proposeb to authorise tha Governor to enter into contraots in New Zealand or elsewhere for the manufacture and supply of or for the supply of ammunition for the Dtfsnce Forces, subject to auch conditions as the Goverror thinks fit. The contract may be for any period no* exceeding five years, and in order that continuity of supply may be ensured, the Governor may in the last year of any contract enter into another contractfor a farther five years, and at any timo the Governor may grant the contractor as a site for his works, a lease of any Grown land np to ten acres, on such terms as the Governor thinks fit, A copy of every ammunition contract haa to be laid before Parliament.
