LONDON, October 22. Dr Morrison reports that the Chinese have relapsed into indifference regarding Thibet and that it would be unwise for Great Britain to consent to any alteration in the treaty. Russia is apprehensive lest Britain should publish three Russian despatches written on the date of the Sikhim Convention, offering the Dalai Lama assistance if Britain threatened Thibet. The Amban held the letters till 1892, when they were stolen and handed to the Dalai Lama. ..
