Warner, on being interviewed, claimed that the matches h a « been a true test of .the relative, strength of the Australian and ' English teams. Leaving aside the two matches which had been decided .by the winning toss, England had won two fairly and Australia ono by the sheer merit of the Australians' strong batting and fieMing-.-But, for the time being, they were weaker than usual in their bowling, wn-ich lacked variety. Cotter was a very promising bowler. Undoubtedly Tmniipai- was the o>estbatsman in- '-he world, and Notoks the best all-round cricketer. When the Australians- visited England they would have to meet a stron^r team than this. He was exceedingly 'pleased with the reception two team had received throughout tno Commonwealth.
The Wanganui-Manawatu match lias heen abandoned, Wanganui not being able to get a team for tomorrow.

Players able to play are requested to notify the secretary at once.
A cricket match has been arranged between the Banks and Law. It will commence at 2 p.m. on St. Patrick's Hay, on the Sports Ground. The Banks' team comprises Chisholm, Reed, Garde; Mason, U'atsori, Verry, ' Kibblewhite, Morris, Smith, Batchelar and Vaugtoam. The, following will rcpresdat the Law : —lnnes, Cooper, Moorej Waldegrave, Maclean, Oakley, Fraser, Cox, Burr, Manson, Fletcher, Manning, and McAra.
