London, July 30. A Boer commando, accompanied by women and children, entered Portuguese territory near the Limpopo and Pafurie Eiyer. Troops were sent to disarnTthe commando.
The Governor has received the following telegram from Capetown, under date July 29: —" Captain McLean, New South Wales Mounted Infantry, Johannesburg, convalescent."
A report having gained currency that Trooper Colin McDonald, of Kihikihi, was dead, the Premier cabled to South Africa on the subject, with the result that a cable message-has been received stating that Trooper McDonald left South. Africa for New Zealand on the 2nd inst. by the Britannic.
