BOERS DEFEATED.
Received' July 30, at 9.2 a.m. London, July 26. The Boers attacker! the refugee camp at Aliwal, but were repulsed.

Details of the capture of Commandant Latigan's laager show that ninety of Lukin's Cape Eifles followed the track of a stolen cart across the veldt, ultimately locating the hiding place and defeating 150 of the enemy. Lieut Webby with twelye men, while trying to Outflank Latigan oh the ridge, was confronted by forty Boers, who killed one and wounded four. Lieut. Webby held the position for an hour when guns arrived and scattered his opponents. ■
