Unpleasant.—Last evening an individual, apparently of a witty turn of mind, attempted to pass the sentry on duty at the Volunteer camp by substituting a funny word of his own instead of giving the proper password when challenged. The sentry promptly received him at the point of the bayonet and called the guard out, who placed him under arrest. He was detained in the guard tent untill Captain Mounsey appeared on the scene, and after that officer had severely administered to him the rules of the camp, he was allowed to proceed on his way.
