SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT WANGNUI.
. _ (Wanganoi Chronicle) A serious mishap occurred yesterday afternoon about 5 o'clock to a pleasure party returning from Kennedy's to Wanganui.... They were driving iv a trap, and on passing the cliffs about a mile' this side oi Kennedy's the horse shied, swerved towards the bank, and the horse, trap, and occupants rolled through the bushes to the bottom, and landed on the edge of the river. One occupant had his leg broken, and a lady's fnce was severely cut and bruised, one of the little boys was badly shaken and m a half dazed state, and the whole party suffered greatly from the fall. The injured persons were conveyed to town m boats, the man with the bioken leg; being taken to the hosmtal.
