ness believed the cheque to be ft gbed one on receiving it. If he had not, he would not have accepted it. Brown told him next morning not to 1 present the cheque, as Mr Hookey had not returned home. Tho prisoner reserved his defence, and was committed for trial at the next criminal sittings of the Supreme Court,
