There \ras catechism m the afternoon at which a good many young persons of both sexes were taught and examined. Vespers m the evening was also very numerously attended. There can be no (ioubt it is lull time the Catholic body were bestirring themselves m the matter of a new and mush larger building, a> the present accommodation is far too limited for the requirements of the congregation. We are glad to hear that the appeal to the public for necessary assistance is not likely to be unavailing, and we hope to see the foundation Btone of the new edifice laid within another couple of months or so.
