The Feilding Loan.
(HERALD CORRESPONDENT.) Feilding, June 14. A vote of the ratepayers was taken yesterday for the LI 8,000 loan for the construction of roads m ; the Manchester Road District. Following is the result :— Feilding : For, 31 votes, re" presenting L87,37'4 ; Against 23 votes, representing L 15,053. Halcombe : For 18 votes, representing L 9549 ; against 32, representing 123,586. Ashurst:' F6r -32 votes, representing Lll 912 ; against none. The majority of votes m favor was '26 } p| yalue m favor, L 70.256. The 'pioposal was consequently carried. :
