A disastrous fire occurred at Kurnara, on Sunday. It commenced in Morris’ lioss Hotel, Seddon-street, which was burned down, also the premises of Davies, tailor. Holmes, tentmaker, and Barber, fruiterer, and another small shop. The origin of the fire is unknown at present. There are no insurances on any of the buildings The fire wns only confined to the houses burnt, after great exertions by the firemen and public. A heavy gale was blowing at the time. Most of sufferers saved nothing. The European and Bank Hotels were severely scorched, and only saved .jtvith great difficulty.
