GARDEN CALENDAR FOR JULY.
Attention should be paid to the preparing and putting in of crops at their proper seasons. Admit air to framed cucumbers in fine weather; and, if necessary, renew the lining. Prepare fresh manure for forcing! rhubarb and seakail. Finish planting out asparagus. Sow largely of all commendable varieties of broad beans. Sow plentifully of early and late sorts of carrots. Sow early and medium sorts of cabbage. Sow a few cauliflowers, if not done last month. Finish planting out eschalots ai.d potato-onions. Herbs —if not yet done, divide the old roots, and replant. Sow a few lettuce. Leek—sow late this month for autumn and winter supplies. Continue sowing largely of onions. Sow a few parsnips. Peas —sow largely of all commendable varieties. Sow a few radish. Finish planting out rhubarb and seakail. Spinach—sow winter sorts for the last time this season.
