Dannevirke, August 22

A large meeting of farmers of the southern Hawkes Bay district, after hearing an address delivered hy Mr W. D. Lysnar, M.P., on Safurday, carried the following resolution, with one dissentient :—"That in the opinion of this representative meeting of farmers it is essential, in the interest of the true progress and development of the Dominion, that the Government should take the necessary steps to stop Armour and Co. and Vesley Bros., or any of their subsidiary companies, from operating in (he Dominion in any manner in connection with the freezing industry and the export of meal.’'’ The resolution is to be forwarded immediately to the Prime Minister.
