THREE-CORNERED SITUATION

STRUGGLE FOR VILNA

The Morning Post's Warsaw correspondent reports that the three■vcornered situation between the Poles, Lithuanians, and Bolsheviks is complicated by the Lithuanian declaration that rather than have the Bolsheviks in Vilna' Lithuania will send •troops to capture Vilna from the Poles.

Nevertheless it is known that Lithuania, ever since its birth as a State, has been anxious to have Vilna as the capital. Once the Lithuanians come to Vilna the Poles will have to tight to the city. Out of a population of 200,000 60,----000 have .fled from Vilna during the last. forty-eight hours, remembering the experience of 1919, when the Bolsheviks occupied the . city for four months. Those remaining are' awaiting the next turn of tho "military situation with anxiety, wondering whether the Poles, Lithuanians, ■or Bolsheviks will become their masters.
