WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. Australian and N.Z. Cabl*> Association LONDON, July 3. In the final for the singles tennis championship Patterson beat Kingscote, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3. Patterson's spectacular overhead smashing was almost faultless, and his accurate placing at the net anticipated Kingscote's famous cross-court drives. In the fourth round of the doubles championship Fisher and Ritchie beat Crawford and Green, 3-6, 6-3, 9-7.
