WELLINGTON, Sept. 28. A court-martial opened at Featherston yesterday to hear a charge against Private H. H. Thompson, formerly an insurance agent of Wanganui, that he .made a statement containing an accusation that Dr Hotop, of Featherston mibtai-y ramp, was under the influence of' liquor while examining Thompson. The -act-used had been attached to the Records Office, and was examined on August Bth and declared fit for active service. He expressed his surprise at the decision, and wrote to the camp authorities making a complaint, including the statement farming the subject of the charge.
