THE BARE MAJORITY QUESTION.

[Fbess Association.] AUCKLAND, June 20. Replying to a prohibition deputation, Mr Bradney, M.P., said that he Was opposed on democratic principles to the bare majority, and that he would continue to oppose it at the risk of his political extinction. Mr Harris, M.P., sympathised with the deputation,, but said that it wa« making a mistake in insisting on pledges from Members, which* were calculated to give the no-license question an undue prominence in politics.
