THE BAND CONCERT.

-* ■ TO THE MARYBOROUGH PUBLIC. LADIES & GENTLEMEN,— It is my desire in this letter to acquaint you with the fact that the first honorary members' concert of the 1913-14 season will be given by the Tenth Mounted Regimental Band m His Majesty's Theatre on Tuesday next, the 24th instant. Remembering the past concerts given by the Band you will, of course, anticipate a maintenance of the high standard previously set, and I confidently believe that you will not be disappointed in these expectations. An interesting and varied programme is in course of arrangement, and will be published in Saturday's "Express." I will take opportunity at this juncture to reveal to the public the honorary member system which the Band has conducted for several years. The, fee for honorary-membership is 10s 6d per year, and for each of three, ; and sometimes four, concerts honorary : members receive four tickets. It is ; perhaps needless for me to state that < this system has its economical advantages to the honorary member, and also assures the committee of the I Band of a certain amount of finance !to conduct the affairs of, what is I naturally an expensive institution. : Any person desirous of becoming an honorary member should notify tibe , undersigned. < ■ Yours faithfully, A. M. THOMSON, Secretary, 10th Mounted Regimental Band.
