THOMPSON COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.
FINGER-PRINT EVIDENCE
[press association.] (Received Jan. 30, 11.1© p m ) MELBOURNE, Jan. 30. Harold Thompson has been committed for trial for the murder of Trotter. Bail .was refused Mrs Trotter, in her evidence at the inquest, said that both of the burglars appeared, slim. One was taller than the other. The' voice of the taller seemed a boyish voice, just breaking into manhood. Thompson's voice did not appear tho same. Thompson's voice was the gruff and low-toned voice of a man. Thompson did not seem slim-built to her. The coat worn by the taller man was striped with something like the one produced. The felt hat produced was something like the one worn by the taller man Nobody to her knowledge knew where the money was kept. She went once to see Thompson, but was unable to identify him. The evidence against Thompson consisted of a finger-print on the window-sill of the back window. An expert stated that its characteristics agreed with Thompsoii's.
