BLENHEIM STOCK SALE.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report holding their usual stock sale at Blenheim yesterday. There was a fair ya.r#ig and a moderate attendance but a.sticky sale, and although the yards were cleared with the exception of three small pens of rat. wethers, anything in the vicinity or values was hard to realise. They quote .sales as under: Fat wethers 13s, ewes 9s, stores, crossbred wethers 11s 6d, 2^tooth 10s 9d, ewes 4-tooth 10s mixed 2 to 8-tooth 9s 6d, full and failing 7s, rape lambs, good 10s 9d, lambs m.s. 8s 9d, small 5s 6d to 7s od, aged ewes ss, cow in calf £8 empty cow, forward. £5 10s. The Company's usual stock sale will be held at Seddon next Wednesday

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale m the Co-operative Yards yesterday. -There was a fair entry of stock, but competition was very dull. Fat ewes especially showed a marked reduction m price, there being a decline of about 3s per head. Breeding ewes also sold about 2s to 3s per head cheaper than at late sales. The following is a list of the prices realised:— Fat wethers 13s 6d, fat ewes 8s to 8s 6d, old breeding ewes 3s lid to 4s 2d, m.s. lambs 6s 3d to 7s,'heifers close to drop £5 12s 6d to £6 2s 6d, heifers m calf £3 19s 6d to £4 17s 6d, younocattle 32s 6d, calves 22s 6d to 255. **
