ORCHESTRAL CONCERT.
A few facts regarding the present position of the Marlbor,ough Orehes- , tral Society are interesting, and may serve as an introduction to Tuesday's concert.' The Society has secured, the as-1 sistance of a. talented lady singer and ulso Messrs Gordon Litchfield, A. Gray, and W. Charlton , for the vocaljtems. It will be the lady's first appearance on a Blenheim platform, and as she has a contralto voice of exceptional power and purity her contributions will be looked forward to with interest. The male voices have all been heard before and -Require no comment. The worthy object of, 'the concert (for the benefit! of *%he Literaryjlnstitute ajnd Reading Boom, ftlnds), together with the popular nature of/the programme .should ensur.e one of the most successful concerts ever given locally.
