SYDNEY, March 10. The Methodist- Conference resolved to appoint a committee to collect and study social facts, with the object of educating public opinion in the direction of social order, which shall exSreSS the ideals and spirit of hristianity. The Rev. Mr Beale, the mover 01 the resolution, declared that the Church showed indifference in most public questions. If the Church had done its duty to the working classes it would not have been necessary for them to turn to trades unions and other organisations for relief. He strongly condemned inculcating a Bpirit o* militarism in children.
