A rough buffeting was given the collieiv'" Poherna on he#!; trip from Gfrey mouth; to Welli n gtoi*. When off Terawhiti on Saturday night the sea^a became so heavy that Captain .Robertson decided to put back to Queen Charlotte Sound, and there he dropped anchor, in company Avith the JUanaroa, the Petone, the Waimea, and the Defender. All these vessels were sheltering under the lee of Long Island. The weather being fine on Monday morning the " Manaroa, Pohenia and Petone left at daylight, and all reached Wellington without further incident.
