Eighty documents and instruments were found in Knowleden's domicile. He was for upwards of two years connected with the wireless telegraphing school, arid was very clever. He was seen in Jnne copying wireless plans, arid was cautioned. He explained that the ■■' copies v. were meant to help him in preparing for an examination. The explanation was considered reasonably satisfactory, but notices of prohibition of similar conduct were pasted on the ship. Three detectors in his.possession contained important improvements, the results of experiments of the Vernon's officers, and drawings constituted a record of the latest'discoveries.
