A..Andrews. i It was resolved to ask the Minister for Public Works to continue work on the Waipara-Blenheim Railway south of the section at present in hand, and also to ascertain whether wool, etc., could be sent by rail from Grassmere, and on what terms it would be taken.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands wrote granting the shed at the landing place for the purpose of forming the nucleus of a public hall, and giving permission for its removal, A committee, consisting of Messrs T. Butt, A. Davidson, A. D. Loe, L. Jenkins, E Bell, A. Thomson, J. Hali, R. Wooding, W. Porter, J. Cunningham and B. Moyle, was appointed to report on the removal of the shed at the next meeting.

The date of the annual picnic was fixed for New Yearns Day at thg Plantation Reserve, and a committee was set up to make .financial arrangements. It was also resolved to hold a cricket match and social on. Boxing Day. - V b
