TUA MARINA RIFLE CLUB.
MARTIN AND BURNLEA CUPS. A competition for the Martin and Burnlea Cups was held at the Marshlands range on Saturday last, the conditions being 10 shots at 200 yarcis and 11 shots at 500 yards, with one sighter at each range (not to count). Some good range scores were made, although the light was very bad. The winner of both cups for the day was W. Wilkins, a junior shot, who just missed the possible by one point_ at 500 yards. J. Law, another junior, made 48 out of 50 at 200 yards, and A. Soper 98 out of 105 at both ranges. The six-inch bull was used at the 200 yards. Following are the scores: —
The following will represent the Tua Marina Defence Rifle Club in a match with the Sounds Club on Saturday, the 19th inst., on the Marshlands range, shooting to commence at 10.30 a.m. Luncheon will be provided on the range: —Capt.
