PRESS DELEGATES AT ALDER* SHOT. •[press association.] LONDON, June 12. Mr John Burns, and members of the Army Council and foreign officers; competing at Olympia accompanied, the Press delegates to Aldershot towitness the shamfight. The party stationed themselves on al spur of Longmoor Hill, whence they; watched 7000 men under MajorGeneral Grierson defend Tunnel Hill against Major-General Stephenson's: force of 10,000. An artillery duel, infantry rushes, cavalry charges and fighting in rifle-pits' were included in the display. Four hundred guests lunched in a marquee at Emperor's Hill. No speeches were made. Captain Smith-Dorrien afterwards paraded a brigade of artillery at waistrength. with a view to emphasising the necessity for large reserves of horses. A special force, representing all branches of the service, marched past. The delegates inspected the camp, and had a meal in the officers' club-
