VISITORS' INNINGS CLOSED.
EVERLASTING RAIN
(Received June 12, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, June 11. The Australians' innings closed last night at 9 for 139, including 27 sundries. Whitty was absent owing to slight influenza. The bowling analysis was as follows :—Robson 8 for 35, Lewis 1 for 26, Hardy 0 for 8, Greswell 0 for 43. A downpour of rain fell all last night, and the pitch was saturated. Play had not commenced up to four o'clock to-day, when the weather was fine, and the wicket drying^ slowly. There was a large crowd waiting outside the gates.
