The weight of newspapers for transmission to Australia and British New Guinea at the Id rate is restricted to 20ozs for each copy ; for each lOozs or fraction thereof additional, id. POSTAL NOTES. The sender of a registered article may obtain acknowledgment of its due receipt on payment in advance of 2Jd. BOOKS AND PRINTED PAPERS All places, id for each. 2ozs. REPLY COUPONS. As a means of enabling the sender of a letter addressed to a place abroad to prepay the postage on a reply, the Department issues reply coupons on payment of a fee of 3d. These coupons may be exchanged for a postage stamp of the value of 2id in any country which adopts the scheme. PARCEL POST. Maxmum weight, 111b : greatest length, 3ft 6in ; greatest length and girth combined, 6rt. Inland, 4d for first lb, and 2d for each succeeding lb or fraction thereof. United Kingdom, not exceeding 31b, Is ; not exceeding 71b, 2s; not exceeding 111b, 3s. Australian States, 8d for first lb, and 6d for each succeeding lb or fraction thereof np to 111b. PATTERNS AND SAMPLES. Inland, not exceeding 2ozs, id ; over 2ozs, same as for other places. All other places, not exceding 4ozs t id ; every aditional 2ozs, Jd. POST CARDS. Inland, single id, reply Id ; all other places, single Id, reply 2d. TELEGRAMS. Ordinary, 12 words for 6d, each succeeding word id ; urgent, double the above rates. MONET ORDERS. Up to £5, 3d ; above £5 to £10, 6d ; above £10 to £15, 9d : 'above £15 to £20, Is: above £20 to £25, Is 3d ; above £25 to £30, la 6d ; above £30 to £35, Is 9d ; above £35 to £40, 2s.
