KIWI A v. C.B.C.

The above match was played on the Wairau Cricket Ground yesterday. Shortly after starting Kiwi were penalised for hitting over their own line ? and from the resulting corner hit Whiting shot the first goal for C.B.C. From then on to the end of the first spell the game was fast and open, the ball travelling at a great pace worn one goal to the, other, with no scores resulting, chiefly owing to wild shooting. The first spell ended C.B.C. 1, Kiwi 0.

On changing over the light began* to fail, and the game degenerated into a scramble. Near the finish, from a melee in front of C.B.Cs' goal J. Jackson managed to shoot the ball through, and the game ended in a draw; one goal all. Messrs Perry and Browne held the whistles.
